Baked goods spread into Japan after civilization (around 1870).

A range of baked goods you can enjoy in Japan; long-established shop’s one still strongly popular, the hottest one came from overseas, healthy one which is just like Japan (ex. made from rice flour and gluten free, containing vegetable) etc. There must be the one that captures your heart! Such canned cookies are best suited for souvenirs and it will be also nice to share them after you go back to your country.

Regarding to doughnut, American chain made it popular in Japan for the first. After that, Japanese original shops also got into the market and now both were popular.
